CMC CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATES 4 DECADES OF TENDER LOVING CARE (TLC)
 As, 2010 unfolds, it marks another milestone in the history of Capitol Medical Center. CMC shines brightly like a Ruby as it celebrates its 40th year of providing Tender Loving Care (TLC) the Filipino way. Through the years, Capitol Medical Center has created its own brand of excellence in healthcare services and has been known as a hospital that caters to all patients regardless of race and belief. It is a place where medical assistance is rendered equally to those in need, be it a paying or a charity patient. We have been known for Quality Healthcare service for the past years and we intend to keep that position in the next decade. Looking back, CMC has gone a long way from the establishment of one building to another (from CMC 1 and 2 to CMC 3 and 5) as well as in the upgrading of medical equipments to cope with the ever evolving technology and practice in health care. The acquisition of medical equipments and establishment of specialty areas has been the major thrust of the center to provide ultra modern procedures that will help our skillful and competent doctors in managing varied cases. Upgrading and improvement of existing facilities is never left behind as we continuously renovate our buildings to have more room for patients either within the community or those coming from the provinces and even other countries. Such indiscriminating attitude has made our hospital known for having updated facilities and services at the same time maintained its rates reasonable and affordable as well.
From Dr. Thelma Navarrete Clemente’s vision of establishing a health care complex in 1967 the dream became a reality on March 19, 1970 when the inauguration and blessing of CAPITOL MEDICAL CENTER took place. In June of the same year, CMC opened its doors to the public and started with eighteen (18) patients admitted to the center. Since then the Center posted tremendous growth resulting to an amazing Four Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Two (4,822) admissions at the end of the first year of operations. With such amazing take off, CMC management realized the need to expand and add more space for the specialized services and cater to the increasing needs of its clientele. During the celebration of its 20th anniversary CMC reaffirmed its commitment to provide quality health care while keeping abreast with the latest technology. It has been two decades since then and CMC has stood firm with its convictions. On its forty (40) years of operations, it can now be said that Capitol Medical Center has survived natural and manmade crises and has grown to a 300 bed capacity tertiary hospital with state of the art facilities and equipments that have been consistently upgraded through the years. It embarks to continue the tradition of excellence in the delivery of health care services and is geared towards global recognition banking on its track record as an advocate of total quality patient care housed in a modern medical facility complex that offers complete wellness at par with its contemporaries in the health care industry. |
